the show: We Will Rock You Based around the hits of QUEEN, Ben Elton's colossus of a musical transports us to a futuristic world where rock music is banned... Planet Mall is home to the futuristic Ga Ga World, where everyone watches the same movies, wear the same clothes and think the same thoughts. It's safe and happy but deeply dull. Rock 'n' roll has been banned for centuries, but a legend persists that the mighty axe of a great and hairy guitar god lies buried deep in rock. The Bohemians need a hero to find his axe, and they need to find him before the Ga Ga Cops and their Killer Queen do. If you like all of Queen or just one of their songs, you will love this show, but be prepared to stand and wave your arms. If ever a show was contageous, this is it. The thing is will they ever get to sing Bohemian Rhapsody? WE WILL ROCK YOU is a foot-stomping, arm-waving, smile-inducing homage to the music of QUEEN that'll leave your ears ringing and your voice hoarse. Amp turned to 11? Then let's rock!
